In a historic move, the Hon’ble President of Bharat, Smt Droupadi Murmu, inaugurated NeVA at the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, envisioning a Digital House. This ‘One Nation One Application’ seamlessly operated the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from 13-9-2023 to 16-9-2023. A Two-Days National Workshop, graced by Hon’ble Union Minister Sh. Piyush Goyal, marked a significant milestone. Sh. Gudey Srinivas, IAS, Secretary, MoPA, played a pivotal role in a workshop’s welcome address. Token of Appreciation was accorded to 9 Legislatures for NeVA implementation. Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State, presented the awards. Notably, Tamil Nadu’s CM Thiru M. K. Stalin and Speaker Thiru Appavu. M. achieved a Historical Milestone by conducting the legislative session through NeVA. Similarly, Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Parishad under the leadership of Sh. Kunwar Manvendra Singh embraced ‘One Nation One Application.’ NeVA continues to shape a digital era in legislative frameworks, fostering efficiency and transparency.

Did you know that the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs is organizing a Two-day National Workshop on National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) to make State legislatures paperless? The workshop, scheduled for May 24th and 25th, 2023 in New Delhi, aims to integrate all 37 Legislative Houses onto the ‘One Nation One Application’ platform. NeVA, a part of the ‘Digital India Programme,’ focuses on bringing transparency, accountability, and responsiveness through technology. Currently, 21 State legislatures have signed MoUs for implementation, with 9 already functioning fully digital on the NeVA platform. Shri Piyush Goyal, Leader of the House, Rajya Sabha, and Union Minister, is the Chief Guest. Stay tuned for the evolution of India’s legislative process.
